McSwain Forkoh has over 10 years of experience working in the financial services industry. As Chief Executive Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Aces Group, McSwain is position to lead the firm’s strategy, operations and ensure utmost compliance with regulatory obligations.
McSwain's expertise spans Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Compliance and Risk Management, USA PARTIOT Certification supervision, Client Data Management and Controls, Know Your Customer (KYC) oversight etc. He has spent combined 8 years at Credit Suisse AG, a Swiss Global Banking Institution. As Assistant Vice President within the Chief Compliance Office at Credit Suisse AG, McSwain focuses of Compliance Monitoring and Testing across various thematic areas including Market Access, Financial Crimes, Data Privacy in line with GDPR and US Consumer Protection requirements, Regulatory Reporting etc. He has worked in other capacities including as Senior Business Analyst covering AML/KYC oversight and coordinating operations and Compliance audits as well as SME providing trainings for teams in US, India and Poland.
McSwain has also held role involving policy analysis and project management with the World Bank Group. He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Duke University and a Graduate Professional Certification in International Development from Duke Center for International Development. He studied Business Administration at North Carolina Central University.
Outside work, McSwain has been involved with philanthropic efforts for more than a decade. He is a leader in the Liberian Community in Research Triangle, North Carolina where he serves as a member of the Board of Directors. In 2014, McSwain chaired a Community Ebola Task Force to respond to the deadly Ebola Virus epidemic in Liberia. He led fundraiser totaling more than $5,000.00 and collected large volume of medical supplies for victims in Liberia.
McSwain is very passionate about enhancing education in his country, Liberia. Through his Family Foundation, McSwain provides scholarship to several students of primary, secondary, vocational schools and universities in Liberia, and mentors young Liberians. The Forkoh Family Foundation also works with community-based organizations to help provide access to capital for small businesses. McSwain has committed 10% of his earning from Aces Group to support education and small business initiatives in Liberia.
